Understanding
materials,
one atom

BRICK NANOTECHNOLOGY CENTER · PQSEI · PURDUE UNIVERSITY
We are an interdisciplinary materials science research group that develops and applies advanced microscopy and spectroscopy methods to understand semiconductors and quantum materials at the atomic scale. We study how the interfaces and contacts inside a device take shape – from the structural and chemical quality of a freshly grown interface, through how processing and contamination can degrade it, to how the resulting defects trap charge and limit performance – and how symmetry-breaking shapes the electronic behavior of quantum materials. The throughline is connecting atomic-scale structure and chemistry to how a device actually performs.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing
